IMCL denied relief by Hon'ble TDSAT

July 24, 2008 Noida: IMCL, operating under the brand name incable net, had defaulted in making payment of arrears of subscription charges amounting to Rs 11.16 crores to Zee Turner Ltd. After following the due process of law, Zee Turner Ltd had switched off signals of its channels to IMCL's network in Mumbai city on 18th July 2008.

Aggrieved by Zee Turner's action of switching off its signals to IMCL's network in Mumbai, IMCL moved today an urgent Miscellaneous Application (No. 96 of 2008 Petition No. 312 (c) of 2007 with M.A No. 39 0f 2008) before the Hon'ble TDSAT with a plea to Direct Respondent Zee Turner Ltd to immediately provide and activate all its so disconnected signals to IMCL network in Mumbai city.

The Hon'ble TDSAT refused to grant any relief sought by IMCL at the present juncture. It directed Zee Turner Ltd's counsel to accept the said Notice of IMCL and granted one week's time to file reply (in today's M.A No. 96 of 2008) and thereafter three days to IMCL to file a rejoinder and the said matter would come up for hearing in the normal course on 11th August 2008, a date already fixed earlier by Hon'ble TDSAT for hearing Petition No. 312 (c) of 2007.

In other words no relief whatsoever was granted to IMCL by TDSAT on today's urgent Miscellaneous Application moved by IMCL.
