Viewers in Mumbai being deprived of their favorite channels due to unscrupulous activities by IMCL
Zee Marathi, Ten Sports, Zee TV, Zee Cinema, HBO, Cartoon Network and many more become inaccessible to viewers in Mumbai.Viewers would miss Indo Sri Lanka matches which would be telecasted on Ten Sports along with their favorite shows on Zee TV like Kasamh Se, Saat Phere, Dulhann, Maayka and Sa Re Ga Ma Pa.
Mumbai, 21st July 2008: Coveted channels like Ten Sports, Zee Marathi, Zee Talkies, Zee TV, Cartoon Network, Pogo, HBO, Zee Cafe, Zee Studio, Zee Cinema, and 23 more go off the TV screens in Mumbai because of due payments not being made by Incable net, to Zee Turner Ltd. the company that possesses the right for distributing 33 famous channels.
Incable Net owes huge outstanding mounting to Rs. 11.16 crore as on July 2008 to Zee Turner. As per the order given by Hon'able TDSAT as on 27th March 08, it clearly indicated that Zee Turner had the right to switch off Incable Net if the operator fails to clear its dues. Incable Net has continuously disregarded the order and has evaded the payment of subscription fees by defaulting in making the payments.
Zee Turner has made enough attempts to persuade the network to clear the dues in an amicable manner but the operator has not paid any heed. This has led to the disappearance of the 33 national and regional channels in Mumbai leading to a lot of annoyance and inconvenience for the viewers.
Incable Net is now trying to arm twist Zee turner to avoid payments in other markets by switching off the channels. To reiterate, Zee Turner has not switched off channels in territories other than Mumbai so far. Zee Turner would now be forced to take stern steps against the operator in other city's as well.
