News and happeningsTen Sports acquires PCB rights through 2013Taj Television Limited has won the exclusive production and telecast rights for all international cricket team tours to Pakistan. Under the new agreement, Taj Television’s exclusive production, telecast and distribution rights for international tours include all Tests, One Day Internationals and Twenty20 matches. The period of agreement starts from November 2008 and continues through the 2012-13 season. The rights include nearly 200 days of live cricket and cover all forms of electronic media. Among the major tours which will take place during the period of agreement are: two visits by India, including the series in January-February 2009; three by Australia; and one each by England, Sri Lanka, New Zealand and South Africa. |
